Finally got WordPress installed. The reason I wanted to start with this was:
- It uses alot of what will be used with other projects. This includes:
- MySQL
- PHP
- Apache2 using SSL
- I wanted a place to record what I was doing. Not the details. I have those in my own notes. But a readable account of the major components that have been installed. There is alot to WordPress. A great deal of choices in configurations. I have to move on. I’ll get back to it. I fear, with each of these projects, I could spend many days, if not weeks, in learning proper configuration.
The Web server is secured through SSL and a password to log in.
Next project: Nagios. RT it tempting, but RT will get into more details than I want to use while putting up these components. I want to set up Nagios to start monitoring. Then RT, and we’ll setup Nagios to feed RT. I have two books on Nagios, and one book on RT.
